Through circle songs, open exploration, and gross motor development exercises, children will blossom with each passing class as they grow with their caregiver during this precious time together. A developmental seasonal art activity time will be included after the dance portion of class. No registration fee is required for this class.
Discover Dance for ages 2-3 yrs (without caretaker) Watch your child’s independence and confidence soar as we explore and discover the benefits of a structured dance class without our grown-ups. Following directions, waiting for our turn, and collectively problem solving will encourage dancers’ emotional and social development. Live singing, musical play, and sensory props will have these little ones moving and grooving with their friends and eager to return to class each week.
Discover Dance for ages 3-4 yrs In this dance class we explore the concepts of dance with more emphasis on physical growth, flexibility, coordination, and technique. Combining skills assist in memory development as structured explorations continue to develop our problem solving and social skills. Twinkle Stars Curriculum for Kindergarten is a school aged combination ballet, tap, and jazz dance curriculum that strikes the perfect balance of structure and fun. Twinkle Star curriculum is structured in such a way that class elements and exercises vary the level of focus needed so that the child remains engaged. Twinkle Stars Dance is created with a structure that remains the same for each class. Young dancers find comfort and security in the repetition of routines. The routines help children feel as if they have more control over their environment and helps them anticipate events. The use of fun, age appropriate music and props, such as bears, hula hoops, scarves, and butterfly wings, engages the young dancers’ minds and bodies. Every class ends with special “Twinkle Fairy Dust”
